Storing your Decal
If you do not intend to install the decal immediately, store it in a clean, dry location on a flat surface. If it will be stored over a year, we recommend keeping it in an airtight container or bag.
Cleaning the Decal
Once the decal is on the car, cleaning it is just like cleaning your vehicle's paint. Decals will hold up to any normal automotive cleaners just as the paint will. However, if not cleaned off, wax can build up along the edges of the decal. To remove this, gently wipe it off with a rag. The use of a brush could force wax and dirt under the decal and cause it to peel off. Any use of pressure washers on the decal will reduce the life of it as well. If you do not wash the vehicle by hand, try not to aim the pressure washer directly at or around the decal.
Careful When it's Cold!
Decals can be damaged by scraping frost or ice off windows in the colder weather. Use caution when scraping your windows! It is best (and easier on you) to warm up your car as much as possible with the defrosters on to loosen up any ice or frost that is on the windows.
Cleaning your Windows
Avoid using any ammonia based cleaners (like Windex), try to use only mild window cleaners on the decals. Be gentle on the decals, and extra careful around sharp decal edges.
Longevity
Every decal on from this site is rated to last 6 or more years outside. Decals kept indoors should last indefinately under normal conditions. These ratings are based on normal use. Any abraisive products, pressure washers, or harsh conditions can reduce the life of the decals. Take care of them and they will last for many years!
